Crystal Richardson

Founder & CEO

Hi, I'm Ms. Crystal! As a mother of three daughters and a healthcare professional, I know how much encouragement and support can mean to a young girl.

I started Girl What? so girls ages 7–13 have a place to feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we build confidence, self-worth, leadership, and sisterhood.

My Background

I hold a master's degree in Healthcare Management and bring more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and community support. My work with families has strengthened my belief in listening, showing compassion, and helping others feel supported.

Through Girl What?, I want to offer that same encouragement to our girls—a place to build friendships, discover their strengths, and grow with people who believe in them.

Every girl deserves to know her worth before the world ever tries to tell her otherwise. At Girl What? we build the circle of support that cheers her on — so she can lead, dream, and become exactly who she's meant to be.

What We Do

Girl, What? is a community based mentoring organization that focuses on self-esteem building, leadership development, academic encouragement, financial literacy, social and emotional wellness, community service, career exploration, health and wellness, etiquette and personal development.
